I shouldn’t be commenting so early! I’m only a few minutes in and I might have more to say later 🤪

I love the story of Janie making friends in New York and them showing up to the show. Come do that in Houston!!

Congratulations on Hacks! It’s been on my list, guess I’d better get to it.

I hope that the entertainment industry picks up again, so many people rely on it. I’ve always noticed being on the westside that almost every billboard would be TV/movie related, and now they’re regular ads like accident lawyers and PSAs. It’s just not something I saw often around here before the strike and they don’t seem to be getting back to it very fast. I can give views to whatever you’re on, at least!

Boy am I glad Paul brought up the Irish Spring commercial. It allows me to dust off this uproarious laugh-getter from my (very amateur) standup days when those ads were everywhere. It went a little something like this…

“Hey, have you seen that commercial where the guy is standing a field and cuts open a bar of soap? I don’t know about you, but if I run into a guy in a field with knife and a bar of soap, I’m not hanging around to find out what brand it is!” Wait for laughter to subside. “Manly yes, but I like it too!” (Standing ovation or something probably.)

Sooo excited to see you on Hacks Janie! We didn’t realize season 3 had started yet, so we watched the first episode of season 3 tonight.

I had a friend recommend Baby Reindeer two days ago. After hearing y’all’s discussion, now I’m convinced. My partner wants to start Shogun first though. To be fair, he did suggest it months ago.

Thank you! I was pretty excited to book a role on that series. It’s one of my faves.

Adding to the chorus of those who are super-excited to see Janie on Hacks. Wasn’t it the drunken mayor of Vegas you had auditioned for before? I remember vaguely resenting that person (even though they were quite funny). Also can’t wait for Varietopia. We loved last year’s Easter show, I haven’t been to the Riviera in something like 30 years. Will do my best not to revert to the hot mess I was in my early 20s.

Replying to my own comment, like a sociopath, but I just wanted to say that Betty's statement necklace DID NOT DISAPPOINT, and I am still laughing over both "well, nothing larger than . . ." as well as Betty staring directly into the abyss of the camera, and the camera staring BACK.

All I can think of is Michael Sheen's amazing line in 30 Rock: "Popcorn!? At the cinema!?"

Did Paul just predict that he was going to live another ~501 years until the year 2525?
