You both bring so much light into our lives with your podcast and I hope that in some way, our comments, or just our presence out here, can bring some light into your lives right now. Your podcast got me through the pandemic (and the tragic losses I experienced of family and friends), so I hope that during this time of fear and loss you can gain some comfort from knowing that we support you, and all Angelenos, right now. Just started this Traitors. Sandoval has already gone twice to look at his own picture on the wall. Ew. I only know him from your recaps, never saw him before. Confusingly unattractive. 😂

Also, I dipped into Octavia Butler for the first time this summer and really loved her world-building. Post-apocalyptic fiction hasn't always been my thing, but I'm finding that I much prefer it when it's written by a woman.
I’m appalled that the online gambling site Polymarket is offering bets on when the Palisades fire will be fully contained and the extent of the damage. A pox on the house of any idiot that places bets on tragedy!

If you are still in your home, this is a good time to go around and take pics of everything. Open drawers, closets, cupboards - everything! We had a major flood once & pictures were so helpful to deal with the ins.
It's been horrifying this week watching KTLA from here in NYC and checking in on my SoCal friends and thinking about everyone else. I'm glad you're both safe and hope you continue to be.
I'm thinking about you guys and your friends constantly this week. I want so much for you guys to just be able to have a day of peace, even. And to be able to take a deep breath, in every sense. Those of us who have relied on you guys for comfort and companionship for years owe you so much, and we are hoping for the best (least worst) for you and yours by the time this is over.
The incendiary situation in LA and Paul’s recent colonoscopy gives a new meaning to the expression “Fire in the hole!” Glad to hear you two are alright and “manning up.” Obviously, my thoughts go out to all the folks impacted by the fires, but let’s not forget the poor animals and pets who are harmed as well. FYI: Anyone facing a colonoscopy should seriously consider using Cologuard instead. This stool-based test you can do at home is 92% effective at detecting cancer and there’s no nasty prep involved. I used Cologuard recently and it was fast, easy, and painless.
Hey AI…how about coming up with a way to force legislators to do away with the electoral college, and while you’re at it, arrange for Lindsay Graham to be caught in flagrante with Matt Gaetz.
