I just want to mention in case you guys don’t know that Korean and Japanese sunscreens are WAY BETTER than American ones! Not sticky, no smell, and more effective. The US FDA does not prioritize reviewing spf filters so our technology is decades behind the filters they have in Asia! As a pale person I now dread the sunscreen application way less than before I knew this.

I haven’t finished the ep yet but wanted to comment on the housing thing. It’s a multi-faceted issue and I don’t pretend to understand it fully, but I believe that today’s luxury buildings are tomorrow’s middle class buildings. However it’s probably gonna take years of nonstop building to see rents go down. I saw a number like 400,000 more units needed in LA to catch up with the population and make a dent in the demand.
UC Berkeley has an article about building costs that coincidentally I just read earlier today. They say “affordable housing” costs $425K PER UNIT to build. It’s wild. They don’t say what a “luxury” unit costs but I assume it’s less than that. Also, setting aside reality stars from like competition shows that are tangentially related to the industry (like Emma Stone being on that Partridge Family show) I can only think of Jamie Chung from Real World becoming an actor.
As a person who has gotten a few spray tans in her life, there is indeed a spray tan booth that works the way you're describing for sunscreen. You go in, you move your arms and legs into a few different positions to get full coverage while it sprays you and then there's a drying phase at the end. Whole thing takes maybe 5 minutes. I think I've caught wind of some sunscreen booths that are at like hotel pools, so maybe it's time to lawyer up and sue them, Janie. They're almost 1000% Stay F Homekins listeners and took your idea.

Having a driver on call at all hours is a true luxury I was lucky enough to have while living in the Philippines. Not only can you anywhere without a thought for traffic or parking, but your car is always spotless, and you can get them to run errands for you: Bill to pay? Send the driver. Pregnant wife craving McFlurry? Send the driver. Want a DVD to watch? Send the driver. Need an oil change? Send the driver. I miss it.
