I don't know where the best way to reach you guys is, since you said the stayFHomekins Gmail is full of spam, Paul is off Twitter and his replies were set to limited anyway, as they are on insta. But I have a Plex server where I have all my media files, and I'd love to invite both of you to it. Paul has mentioned wanting to rewatch WKRP again, on multiple pods, and I have every episode of that show. I also have around 5,000 movies, covering every decade of cinema, and I love you guys and want to share

All you need is some email address, and it can be some brand new one you only use just for this and nothing else, not an actual real email address you use for personal or professional things. use it to set up a free Plex account, and send me the email. I send you the invite, and you're in.

I literally didn’t even read the title correctly until you said it on the pod!

Oh, just got to the knee replacement bit, I heard (but haven't researched) that when you get a knee replacement, it's good for several years but eventually the replacement needs to be replaced, and when that happens they take the old one out and let your knee area heal without anything in it for a couple weeks before inserting the new replacement

So it's just wibbly wobbly floppy leg for a while 💀

Re: Janie preferring to take surface streets to highways

You do you girl, I have a coworker whose commute time is nearly doubled because she feels uncomfortable driving on the highways after she was in an accident.

Do whatever you need to do to feel safe and / or comfortable ❤️❤️

I listened on my Vancouver BC-> Seattle WA drive this morning and it was a fabulous companion. I was definitely excited when you touched on AI. I’m fairly knowledgeable in that space and am happy to provide context if y’all have questions in that realm!

Loved hearing y'all like The Band. Levon grew up with my dad and was my unofficial godfather. AMA, y'all.

I love that the Peter Frampton "talking guitar" song Paul was desperately searching to remember was the exact one he was parodying as "Do You Fear Like We Do." ~~ dooo yuuuu feeeeeeel ~~ liiiiiie weeeeee doooooooo ~~~~~ Great show as always!

I love the talkbox sound. Two great Pink Floyd songs feature my favorite guitarist, David Gilmour, using it: Pigs (from the Animals album) and (appropriately) Keep Talking from The Division Bell.

Oh my gosh! I live in Nashville and used to work at a local tv news station. It’s Nashville, so obviously our reporter would interview pretty big names and cover red carpets. A friend of mine, who’s a reporter, said Jelly Roll was the nicest and funniest country singer she’d met

A new pod on my Bday!, I'm only sharing cause I'm the 14th like and the 14th comment with a burtday on the 15th, shame I couldn't do it on the 14th. That was a sentence, oh well.

I would like to second from the recs “The Glass Hotel” by Emily St John Mandel as a very enjoyable book. I read it first before reading “Station Eleven”, which in perhaps an ill-timed move I read in August 2020 in the thick of pre-vaccine Covid-19. And if you like both of those books, I really really really recommend her subsequent novel “Sea of Tranquility” as a follow up to them.

We had exactly the same discussion about Jellyroll while watching the CMTs. Totally agreed it's a pretty great song.

BTW, we're going to Charleston next weekend, so if you have any "must dos" (or Google Maps!) to share on the Substack, we'd love to have them!

So it's this considered the after discussion, or just a general response to the episode.

Hold on Janie just started talking about broadswords? Let me hit pause.

So the Bob Odenkirk putting the stunt guy in the show thing with a line as bonus for his work? Do you feel like it's like tipping at Starbucks, or more of a tip the guy that delivered and installed a new oven? That would trigger SAG as well, if I'm correct?

Side note, J Haddad, is there a way to @ people? Can you split convoes off into separate people, like you might at a party? You are closest I have to tech support and navigation.

Hi Ian! You CAN start a discussion in substack. In the substack app, you can initiate a chat of your own, if you’re a premium subscriber to our publication! OR you can respond to chats that have been initiated - like when PFT and I started one before the episode last night. You can @ people there AND break off into discussions. Substack is only 5 years old so all of their tools are getting refined and recently rolled out. It’s pretty fun!

It's just weird because on Android, the notes link sends my to browser then says to install the app I was on to start with. I'll figure it out.

You should put your walking around apple stock money into substack, I'm being your sign right now!

And I can't seem to edit my comments? I thought I could on another post, it's tied to the posters settings? Ok I might just be too high to figure out an app on a Saturday on my late 40s with a cat bothering me and why am I still writing, this is way to much sharing...

I'm always amused by the crossover here. I mostly listen to heavy metal and industrial. But, I'll still pop by and listen to Janie and Paul talk endlessly about the CMT awards.

Great episode Paul and Janie! I have a recommendation to offer. Read City of Thieves by David Benioff. It’s categorized as “historical fiction,” although I think it’s ultimately a quirky love story with a sense of humor. Best book I’ve read in years.
