Buy Nothing is awesome. Not just for “stuff”. If you need a scoop of flour, for example, someone will have it available for you. We have a big BN community in my neighborhood.

I started getting gray in my twenties but luckily it’s all in the front so it kind of looks like highlights. I would say own it, but I’m sure as an actor there’s more to think about.

I hope this strike is settled soon, with terms that benefit the workers. Wild that it’s gone on so long and people are just expected to manage without pay.

Salad tips:

- I roast cauliflower florets all the time, and them in the fridge. You can add them, hot or cold, to any salad to make it more substantial

- I have 2 kids and we have "hand salad" all the time. I find dicing veggies tedious and it makes me feel like things were pre-chewed, which grosses me out. So, take a red pepper and cut it into strips (you'll get 12ish). Cut a cucumber into discs. Cut a few radishes in half. Peel a carrot and make it 6 sticks (cut it into 3 pieces, then each one of those lengthwise). Eat with your hands. Whatever is left carries over to the next day. We don't do dips because they are tedious to make, but you can add dips or just dressing to dip in. Bonus: of you decide to make a salad, half the cutting work is already done.

- roast veggie salad: of you roast potatoes, carrots, shallots, and really whatever, you can toss that with vinaigrette and serve over lettuce. It's a really good meal.

Re: cauliflower, I store* them in the fridge

Re: roast veggies, I mean that one you've used them for their original purpose, you store them in the fridge, then use them for salad. Room temperature is best, but hot veggies on lettuce is not very good imo

Janie, I started going gray at 18, but it really hit around 30. When people asked if my babies were my grand kids, that's when I started dying my hair. I've always dyed my own hair until this year. One way that I extend the time between dying my hair is through a spray Style Edit Light Brown Root Concealer Touch Up Spray - Temporary And Instantly Covers Grey Hair that one of my friends told me about. It works great at covering the roots. I don't wash my hair every day so it's made a big difference.

These are all wonderful tips! I especially was surprised that the LA library has tool rental. I will add that I use my LA library card to read The NY Times, it’s very easy you just have to re-up every 3 days (takes 1 min). It’s a great way to stay abreast of the LIBERAL MEDIA ELITES

To clarify, it’s the County library that lends tools, and only at these branches:

Compton, Lancaster, Norwalk, Rosemead, and San Fernando

I also love a double name! Thank you for reading, Mary Carol!

Oh, Mary Carol, that IS important. I love first-middle name combos. My dad always called me "Caissie Lynn" and "Caissie Face" - not that face is my middle name, but I guess I could adopt that, LOL?

10 KIDS! I don't blame them for thinking about how not to mix anyone's names up.
