I think the writers and actors are shining, via the attention that comes with the celebrity/cultural elements, a huge spotlight on what’s happening in this economy and am hopeful that the Teamster/UPS contract today is the first of many across other industries.
I subscribed today after seeing this post in my email (should have done so much earlier), after realizing that it’s a small thing I can do to support two specific striking union members whose work I’ve enjoyed.
I'm a BU student (not graduating this year) and thought the response to Zaslav was AWESOME. They announced he was going to be the commencement speaker THREE DAYS after the writer's strike started. I had to go back and look at the timeline, because I thought "surely I'm misremembering and it wasn't less than a week, surely they're not THAT tone-deaf" but apparently I was giving them too much credit. I get that these things get decided way in advance, but combined with (ultimately unsuccessful) efforts to stop grad student unionization, the optics were Not Great. Having won our union by a historic 98% in favor, I'm fascinated by the Hot Labor Summer and really appreciate the perspectives on it from those on the ground. Stay safe, stay sane, and stay strong!
Please feel free to inform SAG-AFTRA that you have listeners like myself who happily listen to the the recaps, but do not put eyeballs on the actual episodes. I appreciate all the strike updates — stay safe, stay sane and stay strong!

That is great perspective! Thank you for sharing that and you have to wonder if it was all about the benjis!
I love Craig Cackowski! I took his wife's improv class and went to a performance of Hell County, FL.
Carla Cackowski!! Heck yeah!!
I hope you burped that Tupperware. For freshness
Thanks for keeping the Homekins fires burning. Happy to be supporting this greatest of side-hustle’s. Keep up the fight, we’ve got your backs.
Thank you, Dan! This is so nice!
