It is episode FOUR of our recapping podcast run of season two of AND JUST LIKE THAT (god, I LOVE typing two prepositions right next to one another in a sentence, WHO DOESN’T?)
In this episode, we give you two spontaneous impersonations. Paul’s impression of Steve is more accurate than Janie’s impression of Anthony. Neither impressions will earn them a Vegas residency (yet.)
Tri-corn hats appear, I guess to redefine the unsavory Tea Party politics of the early aughts? Maybe this show HAS gone woke (pitchforks!)!
We finally get a semblance of the ORIGINAL series of SEX & THE CITY with a more traditional sex comedy plot and script. Unfortunately, Nya doesn’t get to! I guess she’s swamped professoring and being hella thirsty way uptown?
Seema continues to be the BEST character, and introduces us to a crossover cameo appearance from SUCCESSION’S “ludicrously capacious bag.” Product placement, perhaps, for this four figure purse that will give you a herniated disc???
Miranda tries a threesome which frankly could’ve been something Che orchestrated just to “test Miranda’s boundaries.” Is Che a student of the Pick Up Artist methods, and collecting data on how far they can manipulate their mark for supply?
And all parents in the AND JUST LIKE THAT universe resent their choice to parent but NOT to possess their children as status symbol accessories!
And, as someone Childfree By Choice, I FRANKLY ADMIRE THE HONESTY!
There’s so much MORE, so, we invite you to listen!
We have hope you will subscribe and join the conversation on this episode in the comments below! What did you all think? Are we off the mark on anything? And are you still enjoying these?
